What does "Stefan-Boltzmann Law" mean?

The Stefan-Boltzmann Law describes how much energy a black body, which is an ideal object that absorbs all light, radiates based on its temperature. Simply put, the hotter an object is, the more energy it emits.

When we look at things like stars or any hot object, this law tells us that the total energy radiated per unit area increases with the fourth power of temperature. This means if you double the temperature, the energy output becomes 16 times greater.

This concept helps us understand various phenomena in physics, including how objects behave in different temperatures and environments, such as in the case of black body radiation in electrodynamics. It also plays a role in explaining the energy output of stars and other celestial bodies.
