What does "AdS Black Hole" mean?

An AdS black hole is a type of black hole that exists in a space known as Anti-de Sitter (AdS) space. This space has a unique shape and is often used in theoretical physics to study various concepts related to gravity and quantum mechanics.

Structure

AdS black holes have a central point called a singularity, surrounded by an event horizon. The event horizon is the boundary beyond which nothing can escape the black hole's gravity. These black holes can have different sizes and properties depending on various factors.

Circular Orbits

In the region around an AdS black hole, charged particles can move in circular paths. These paths are called stable circular orbits. However, there is a limit to how close these orbits can get to the black hole without becoming unstable. This limit is known as the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO).

Information and Reconstruction

One interesting idea about AdS black holes is related to what happens to information. When a black hole is in a specific state, known as being in equilibrium with a thermal bath, it has been suggested that certain information about the black hole's interior cannot be recovered using data from the outside region.

However, after a certain time period, known as Page time, it becomes possible to recover information from the black hole's interior using information from the thermal bath. This shift shows how information behaves differently in the context of black holes over time.
